TL 74 SE PENTLOW PANNELS ASH LANE
3/193 Simpsons Farm

Cottage. C15 or earlier hall house with later alterations and additions.
Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof with hip and gablet to right.
Left gable weatherboarded. 2 storeys. 2 window range of vari-light casements
with centre glazing bars. Red brick 3 attached diagonal shaft chimney to right.
Internally are 2 mullion windows, jowled storey posts to ground and first floor.
Brick floors. Original fireplace, stop chamfered beams, chamfered arched
doorway. Original crown post has been removed but part of roof structure
remains. Halved and bridled scarf to top plate, also some jowled posts. Moated
site. At the time of resurvey the building was undergoing restoration.
