GV II

Walls, railings, gate and gate piers forming south-eastern
boundary of the garden of the John Burrill Homes (qqv).
1925-31. By Ward and Leckenby. Walls and gate piers in red
brick in English bond, with moulded stone coping to wall,
moulded stone cornices to piers. Railings and gate of cast and
wrought-iron. Walls vary from approximately .75 metres to 1.50
metres in height. Gate piers are square on plan, approximately
2.50 metres high. Railings and gate bars are square section
with twisted finials and incorporate panels of openwork
scrolls terminating in spiral finials. Gate overthrow of leaf
fronds and trails incorporates the initial 'B'.
Included for group value as an integral part of The John
Burrill Homes (qqv).
