GV II

Parish church. 1829-31. By Francis Godwin and Richard Lane.
Ashlar-faced with low pitched roof not visible. Commissioners
Gothic style. West tower, nave with 2 aisles, chancel.
3-stage tower clasped by projecting porches each side. W door
with hoodmould, 3-light window over. Clock and 3-light bell
chamber opening above. Polygonal angle pilasters, embattled
parapet with pinnacles. Nave of 5 bays, each with 3-light
Decorated window. String course, plinth and embattled parapet.
Blind windows in east walls of aisles, and single lancet
window to chancel north and south walls. Wide Perpendicular
6-light east window with transom. Polygonal buttresses each
side of chancel.
