Formerly known as: Woodman's Cottage TIDDESLEY WOOD LANE Three
Springs.
Includes: Woodman's Cottage DEFFORD ROAD.
House. C17 with later additions and alterations. Square-panel
timber-framing with painted brick nogging. Thatched roof,
hipped to left, with 3 eyebrow dormers; brick ridge-stack to
left of centre.
EXTERIOR: single storey with attic; 3 framed bays with added
single-storey bay on left under roof hip. Right-hand dormer
has 2-light window of 2/2 panes with casement; central dormer
similar, with side-lights; left-hand dormer similar, of 4
lights. Ground floor: wooden chamfered-mullion windows of 4
and 3 lights with leaded lights and casements, surrounds
mostly renewed; thatched porch extension to right bay with
4-light window; plank door with decorative hinges to added
left-hand bay.
Right return is of whitened brick with exposed truss in gable.
Rear has two full dormers.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but noted as having central
back-to-back fireplaces and, on ground floor, square-panelled
wooden wall panelling.
