3 cottages, now single house. Mid C17 with C19 range to right
and restorations c1980-90 with outshut to left and extension
to rear.
Blue lias stone plinth surmounted by timber-framing with
plaster infill, some wattle and daub remaining, with painted
brick nogging to right part and reddish-brown brick range to
left; plain-tile roof.
Originally a 2-unit plan with central stack, with 2
single-cell additions to right and further outshut to left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Small square
timber-framing with angle braces. Steps to pair of off-centre
left entrances and further entrance to right, plank doors. C20
casement windows throughout. Gabled roof. Internal, ridge and
left end stacks.
INTERIOR: 2 inglenook fireplaces with bressumer beams, that to
centre in original smoke stack. 2 main chamfered beams with
chamfered stops rest on massive, chamfered jowled studs, 6
studs altogether. Exposed timber-framing, also to partition
walls. Plank doors. Smoke blackened timbers to upper floor.
Purlins and arched braces are exposed, some renewed.
