Mid C18 farmhouse. Two-storeys and attics. Local yellow brick with red brick
details. Old plain tile roof with tumbled parapet gables, and end stacks with
paired shafts. Three flat-roofed dormers with horizontal sliding sashes and glazing
bars. Symmetrical five window range of hung sashes with glazing bars in segmental
arches with keystones and red brick dressings at first floor. Similar windows
flank central panelled door with flat canopy and modillioned cornice supported on
scroll brackets. Band between storeys with chequered brick pattern. Two-storey
C19 brick and slate rear extension. Fire plaque.
Interior: Fine open-string staircase with turned balusters. Room to right-hand
has complete raised and fielded panelling, and bolection moulded chimney piece.
Original doors to all rooms.
