I refer to "Listing Text" for this building. My late father told me that Garlenick was rebuilt in 1812 by George Moore, not Gwennap Moore. This should be easy enough to check out.

I also express some scepticism that the fire place with crossed guns commerates Sir John Moore. Sir John Moore was a Glaswegian and there is no oral tradition in this branch of the Gifford Moores that he was associated with the family. Corrunna was 3 years before the building was rebuilt and perhaps the claim may be true, but Waterloo was still three years off and a military theme could just reflect the times.
