1794-1797. Stone baulks small and square on plan with rounded corners and
concave tops. Stone kerb in front of railway bridge preserving line of front
garden kerbs and atone baulks in front of houses along north side of street
(the baulks, probably were intended to keep carts out of the gully and away
from the stone garden kerbs (originally railed). Their concave tops suggest
they may also have been intended to serve as small mounting blocks when required.
