Late C18/early C19. Four coursed stone terraced houses of 3 storeys each,
stepped down hillside. Tiled roofs, red brick end chimneys. End houses 2
windows each, centres have one window each. Top floors generally sashes with
glazing bars. Ground floor of No 38 has early C19 shop front with pilasters
cornice, frieze and architrave. No 40 has double wooden doors. Doors generally
with plain fanlights and stone steps.
