House. Early - mid C19. Local stone and flint rubble; stone rubble stacks topped
with C19 brick; slate roof with crested ridge tiles.
Plan: double depth plan house facing north-east. It has a front and back room
either side of the central entrance hall and staircase. The rooms are served by
gable-end stacks. 2 storeys.
Exterior: symmetrical 3-window front of 12-pane sashes under flat arches of stone
voussoirs. The central doorway contains its original panelled door but the flat
roofed porch with brick segmental-headed outer arch is probably secondary. The main
roof is gable-ended.
Interior: not inspected.
Belle Vue forms part of an attractive group of listed buildings in the small village
of Yarcombe.
