Farmhouse. Late C17 - early C18, C19 extension, thoroughly renovated circa 1972.
Plastered cob, some of it without stone rubble footings; stone rubble stacks topped
with C20 brick (one chimney-shaft including some late C17 - early C18 brick); thatch
roof.
Plan: 3-room plan farmhouse facing south with a kind of 5 - room plan. The front
room was the original farmhouse. It has a 1-room plan with a right (east) gable-end
stack and rear doorway (now to a C20 outshot). A former dairy block projects at
right angles to rear and overlapping the right end a short distance. The third
room, alongside the former dairy block, was the secondary agricultural store and has
now been brought into domestic use. 2 storeys.
Exterior: irregular 2:1 - window front of C20 casements, mostly with glazing bars.
The front door is alongside the front block and contains a part-glazed door. It is
into the front end of the former dairy block. The front block (the original
farmhouse) roof is half-hipped to left and gable-ended to right. The roof over the
former dairy and extension is parallel to the front block, hipped to left and half-
hipped to right.
Interior: was not available for inspection at the time of this survey. However the
owner reports that it was thoroughly refurbished in 1972 and much of the carpentry
was renewed then. However most of the beams and the front block roof is said to
survive as recorded in the NMR.

confusing evidence for a smoke-bay.
