5/50 Lockshill
II

House. Circa later C17, modernised in late C20. Plastered cob walls. Hipped
thatch roof. Central rendered rubble axial stack with brick shaft.
Plan: 2-room plan both rooms heated by central axial stack. Comprehensive
modernisation currently in progress (May 1987) with long outshut being built at
rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 4-window front of late C20 small-paned 2-light
casements. 2 C20 part-glazed door towards left and right-hand ends.
Interior: open fireplaces with rough cambered wooden lintel. Chamfered cross beams
may have been inserted in C20.
