Listing Text

Late 18th century. 2-storey house with single storey block
adjoining and additional outbuilding. Rubble, formerly
harled, with ashlar margins.
N ELEVATION: 3-bay house with 19th century pilastered
door-piece, panelled door with decorative fanlight; windows
in flanking bays and to each bay at 1st floor. Single storey
cottage block at E, mostly blank with door and small window.
2, low, recessed bays of outbuilding to outer left, with 2
doorways.
S ELEVATION: stair window at centre of 2-storey house,
flanked by windows at both floors. Single storey block with
pantry light and window, and late 19th century gabled dormer.
12-pane glazing pattern to most sash and case windows. Gable
end stacks, partly brick repaired; grey slate with decorative
clay ridge tiles to 2-storey house and single storey block,
above slate roofs; pantiled piend roof to out-building.
RETAINING WALLS: ashlar coped rubble parapet to N garden
front with 2 separate cast-iron gates; higher rubble boundary
walls to E and to walled garden adjoined at W.
