Listing Text

Before 1823, remodelled as Tudoresque gabled villa by A & W Reid, architects, Elgin, 1846. Asymmetrical house of 2 storeys and attic with 3 front bays in S facing garden facade. Harled with considerable use of ashlar margins and dressings. Advanced front porch; large mullioned and transomed windows with multi-pane glazing. Tall octagonal shafted chimney stacks; slate roof.
Rear lst floor entry served by forestair with fine earlier l9th century decorative cast-iron balustrade.
GARDEN WALLS AND GATEPIERS: garden enclosed by coped rubble wall. Pair octagonal gatepiers with facetted, moulded caps flank Bellevue Road entrance; low harled quadrants link with square end piers.
