Harled rubble, ashlar margins. Mainly 4-pane glazing in fixed timber lights in street frontage, varied elsewhere; later shop with enlarged window slapped between round-headed pend archways.

Substantial building, probably originally a warehouse, being close to harbour. Cumberland's troops said to have been lodged in premises after the 1745 uprising. Glazed lights and windows probably replaced original shutters.
