Off-centre doorway in S; later off-centre window in E elevation. Piended slate roof.
GATEPIERS AND GATES: mid-later l9th century (re-instated from Duff House). Pair plain square tooled ashlar gatepiers with shallow pyramidal caps above band of billet-moulding detail. Pair cast-iron carriage gates and matching flanking pedestrian gates, the latter flanked by plain harled outer piers.

Notes:
Gatepiers and gates re-used from Duff House. The south pavilion appears never to have served as a dwelling for lodge-keeper and may have been a carriage house, for which there appears no provision elsewhere. Topographical drawing of l822 (reproduced by A E Mahood) reveals no windows in N Lodge Castle Street frontage.
