Listing Text

Later 18th century. Pair polished ashlar octagonal gatepiers with
moulded stepped caps supporting fine carved stone urns decoratd with acanthus and swags of fruit and flowers. Remains of decorative cast- and wrought-iron gates.

Notes:
Gates probably made by the Banff Foundry (James Fraser), a firm which provided similar articles to other local countryhouse estates, including Gordon Castle.
