Listing Text

G Bennett Mitchell, Aberdeen, architect, 1938. Harled rectangular church hall on steeply sloping site, with generous use of tooled ashlar dressings and margins. Entrance gable to High Street with wide ashlar corniced doorpiece fronting recessed doorway below radial fanlight. Long 6-bay N return elevation to Back Path terminating as advanced 2-storey gable with corniced doorway below lunette. Back Path elevation lit by 5 mullioned and transomed 3-light timber windows linked by sill course and deep eaves course. 2-storey semi-circular apse (after that of St Mary's Church) fronts rear 2-storey E gable. Simple leaded glazing. Apex cross; slate roof.
