Listing Text

A & W Reid, Elgin, 1853. Tudor gothic. 2-storey, 3-bay house; tooled ashlar frontage, harled return gable and rear wing. Dividing string course.
Slightly off-centre advanced middle bay with recessed entrance under depressed hoodmoulded arch. 2-light window left of entrance and 3-light at right; 3 2-light lst floor windows under finialled gables; all front fenestration hoodmoulded. Multi-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows with pointed heads to upper sashed in ground floor windows only; deep copes to end stacks; slate roof with modern roof lights. Varied glazing to rear of house and to rear wing.
Front railings; circa 1990 cast-iron spearhead railings with urn
stiffeners front both rectory and church.
