Description

House of unknown extent incorporated in Scottish Baronial remodelling of 1932. 2 storey and attic L plan, with 2 storey wing at NE to rear, harled. South front: advanced single bay gable at right, crowstepped with chimney stack at head and diminutive bartizan at SW angle. Round tower in re-entrant, corbelled at wallhead with conical slated roof. Entrance in small piended porch at angle between tower and

main south front, which is four bay with bi-partite to right of entrance, four windows at first floor with crowstepped wallhead dormers over. Straight skews with step halfway down and rectangular coped stack at East. Substantial rectangular stack at West end. Straight skews. 1932 work is harled brick with rendered margins.

Statement of Interest

Triangular pediment with inscription "PSAL; 37 IVST VSBE - IAIV GERA AGRI TENEBIT ET GOLET - THE GOOD AND GODLIE INHERIT SHALL THE LAND " from Psalm 37 set in E wall of projecting S wing. 1932 date given by relative of previous owner.
