Late C18. 2 storeys. Ashlar. Stone string at 1st floor cill level mitred over
3 narrow pilasters, whole height, Moulded cornice and panelled parapet with plain
coping. Hipped pantile roof. Front to Wicker Hill has 4 windows, glazing bar
sashes, and door (to right) with plain stone surround and cornice. 6 panel door
to left in lean-to extension with cornice. Return front, facing up hill and across
front of No 73 (or 74) Fore Street, has 3 windows on 1st floor and 1 large 4 light
window with cornice over, on ground floor.

No 8 and premises occupied by K.J.Lester to south west .of-No 8 form an outstanding
group with Nos 65 to 68 (consec), Nos 70 to 73 (consec), railings and gates to
Nos 68 and 70, dwarf stone wall to No 72, No 64 (Lloyds Bank) and Ushers Brewery
Corner Block, fore Street.
