ST 96 NW MELKSHAM WITHOUT BEANACRE
(east side)

Three cottages in row, formerly pair. Mid to late C18. Squared
rubble stone. Welsh slate roof with ashlar coped verges. Brick
stacks. 2 storeys. 4 windows. Door to right of centre has
moulded architrave and flat hood. One 3-light flat mullioned
window either side and 12-pane sash to left. C19 lean-to
extension to left. C20 flat-roofed extensions to right and to
rear are not included. Interior not inspected. This appears to
be a symmetrically fronted C18 house with a one window, 2 storey
addition to left, the whole being reroofed in the early C19.
