02/09/52 (Formerly listed as Compton
House and Pigeoncote)

GV II

Dovecote. c.1600. Red brick with limestone quoins and plinth. Pyramidal stone
slate roof laid to diminishing courses. Octagonal plan. Entrance has stone
surround with keystoned head, floating cornice and plank door. Louvred wood
lantern. Interior: original arrangement of nesting boxes survive. Renewed roof.
