Cottage. Probably early C18; altered and restored. Timber frame painted black
with brick nogging painted white at the front and black at the rear (which has a
flint plinth), with a red pantile roof and brick chimney. Single-depth 2-unit plan,
plus lean-to at right-hand end. Two storeys and 2 bays; the exposed timber
framing, which is all of light scantling, includes corner posts and a central wall-
post, mid rail, studs and intermediate rails; the doorway, offset left of centre,
has a board door with simple pitched canopy, and each floor has 2 square 2-light
casements with cross glazing bars. At the right-hand gable end is a full-height
weather-boarded lean-to, and at the left gable a large external chimney stack
