Folly tower. C18, possibly built in 1760's at same time as Leith Hill Tower.
Bargate stone rubble with stone slab. Octagonal lower stage, two stage circular
tower rising from it with projecting string course composed of slabs at each
stage and to top of parapet. One triangular head window with slab sills and
heads to each stage. Stone slab with eagle carving on south side. Cambered
head door to south side approached up a flight of 11 steps.
Interior:- remains of ground floor rotted. Internal stair following curve of
wall up to first floor. Tower approximately 30 feet high.
