GV II

Public House. C17 and C18. Walls yellow stock brick with red brick dressings
and rubbed brick arches. Moulded eaves course under hipped tile roofs. Two
chimney stacks. Two storeys with single storey wings to south along Farmers
Road, and turning to east. Elevation to Farmers Road. Ground floor; central
door with two sash windows each side. First floor; 12-pane sash windows with
central name panel recessed and door with bracketed hood. Recessed name panel
over. Inn sign on wrought iron bracket. Wing to east gabled tiled roof central
stack. Two low storeys of painted brick with two sash windows with shutters
and two 9-pane sashes above. Also a wide shallow recess above a 9-pane sash
with double doors below. Second stack on roof junction. Later outbuildings at
rear.
