House. Circa 1802 with later C19 alterations; extensions to rear of c1870 and
additions of early C20 date to right. Red brick with hipped roofs obscured by
stone-coped parapets. Originally square plan, now with extensions to right.
Three storeys; three bays to each side, stacks to left and right of centre.
Plate glass sash fenestration in earlier openings with ribbed brick heads to
first and second floors.Canted bay window to ground floor right with plate sash
fenestration and panelled jambs. Panelled doors to centre under transom light
with reeded decoration. Doric portico with two front columns and two rear pilasters
and triglyph frieze above. Left hand return front:- Three sash windows on first and
second floors, two windows on ground floor. Doors to centre in panelled reveal and
similar porch. Single storey angle bay to left corner with panelled parapet.
Right hand return front:- 1 bay,full-height extension set back; further extension
set back to right.
Interior:- Early C19 shutters survive in main rooms. Later C19 white marble fire-
place in ground-floor room to rear, black marble fireplace in front sitting room.
Some of the main rooms have simple plaster cornices.
