4/339 The Gothic Temple

GV II

Gothick temple. Late C18. Stucco covered wood with plastered wood roof. Octagonal
with 8 square uprights and an obelisk finial to each, battlemented between. Each
face contains one ogee arched opening with Y shaped dividing pendant. Quatrefoil
roundel above. Fan vaulted roof with centre pendant and petal decoration. Encased
in scaffolding and under restoration at time of resurvey.
