House. c.1880 by R. Norman Shaw; altered. Red brick in English bond, lst
floor tile-hung with fish-scale tiles and plain-tile offsets; plain tile roof.
One storey with 2 attic storeys; 3 bays. Wooden mullioned windows with leaded
casements. Central bay, all of brick, projects slightly under curvilinear
gable and has small-pane part-glazed panelled door and 3-light window below
brick cornice, with 5-light window above having moulded brick sill and cornice.
3-light window to right bay. Left bay has bay window of 7 x 2 lights with
transom and flat roof; 4-light window above eaves under gable. Central hipped-
roofed dormer. Tall corniced stacks to ridge between right bays and external
at left end. Rear: steps up to central double door with 3-light overlight;
2-light window and C20 porch addition to left; flat-roofed bay window with
inserted central double door to right. 2 gabled 3-light dormers, and 2 hipped-
roofed dormers. Left return: a bracketed 4-light window to left of stack on
ground and lower attic floors, and one to right on lower attic floor. Right
return: segmental arched window and door to ground floor; gable has 2 windows
to lower attic floor and one above. Interior not inspected.

House, now divided. Circa 1880 by R. Norman Shaw. Red brick with fishscale tile
hanging above, steeply pitched plain tiled roof with tall multiple stacks to right
of centre and to left end. 1 storey with 2 attics,the upper attic in hip roofed
dormers and two lower dormers at eaves level. Tile hung gable to left with brick
segmental shaped pediment to right. Irregular fenestration of leaded casements.
Square bay to ground floor left. Panelled and part glazed door in break to right
of centre under moulded brick stribg course. Left hand return front: 2 projecting
first floor pentice roofed windows on centre brackets.
Rear: Central shaped gable break with angle bay window to ground floor left.
