GV II

Warehouse, used as offices. Built between 1862 and 1883. Red brick. Plain tile roof with gabled ends and raised ridge light; gable ends clad in asbestos sheets.
PLAN: Long rectangular building, open at front on ground floor.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. 16-bay open ground floor with thin cast-iron columns supporting an iron girder. 18 windows on first floor, alternating pairs of small and large windows, and pairs of large windows on second floor, all with segmental arches and multi-pane cast-iron frames; patch in brickwork at centre where later lift tower has been removed.
INTERIOR: Timber queen-post roof with raking struts. Loading hatches survive in first floor. Some inserted partitions.
