House; built in 2 stages, mid C16 and c.1600. 2-cell end-chimney plan. 2
storeys. Timber-framed and plastered. Pantiled roof probably once thatched.
External chimneys at both gables: a C16/C17 stack of plastered brick (recapped
in C20) to right, and a C19 stack of red brick to left. C19 and C20
casements, some with C20 leaded lights. Boarded and battened C20 entrance
door. Complete and fully-exposed framing: the hall to right has heavy
unchamfered joists and an open fireplace with cambered lintel. Circa 1600,
the service cell to left was enlarged; chamfered floor joists and clasped-
purlin roof.
