ST 96 NW BROMHAM DURLETT ROAD

4/19 Clenche Farmhouse

II

House, C17 timber-framed with thatched half-hipped roof and axial
stack. l½ storeys. Exposed framing. Front formerly had three
eyebrows, over casement in centre and casement pair each side, but
wall has been built up each side of centre window. Ground floor
casement pair, door in hipped thatched porch, two casement pairs
and casement. Painted brick thatched C20 additions to right.
Left end wall has exposed framing and casement pair each floor.
Rear has painted brick and thatched rear wing with end stack,
possibly originally timber-framed. East side large eyebrow over
two triple casements, ground floor three casement pairs. Rear of
main range has exposed framing and eyebrow to left. Tudor-arched
stone fireplace inside.
