C18. 4 storey. Tile hung, (modern tiles) with moulded wood cornice and parapet.
Old tile roof. 2 windows on 2nd fand 3rd floors. Large angular bay window on
lst floor with triple central window and side lihghts. Moulded frames divided
by pilasters, with moulded cornice at head. Plain C19 shop front on ground floor
under pent roof with Doric columns supporting dentilled cornice. Long wing extending
to rear. Chalkstone, flint and chequerbrick. lst floor part tile-hung. 3 wooden
mullion windows with lead intersected glazing bars. Door with flat hood on cut
brackets.
Nos 131 to 144 (consec) and Midland Bank form a group, with the Town Hall and
Nos 1 to 12 (consec), oppposite.
