Circa C16 timber-framed cottage with late C17 sandstone ashlar addition to
west. Large L-shaped house of which the east limb and east gable of the main
front facing on to New Street, are of circa C16 date. This portion is timber-
framed with painted brick infill panels. It is on sandstone foundations and
is of one storey and attic. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends.
The main front is of sandstone ashlar and dates from circa the end of the C17.
Quoins and stringband, plain eaves cornice. Steeply pitched plain tile roof
with hipped ends. Two storeys. Three-light casements in simple moulded stone
surrounds. Three brick chimney stacks.
