Medieval structure with front of circa 1700. C17 back wing. Internal
timbering typical of a Wealden house. Formerly two properties. 2 storey
plus attic, 4 window facade of painted brickwork and stone dressings.
Moulded stone cornice, stone quoins, keyblocks and string band at first
floor. Upper floor has two sashes in cased frames on left hand side and
two original 3-light casement windows in wood frames on right hand side.
Lower storey has two C18 type shop windows, probably later additions, each
having a half-glazed door. There is a third, original, 6-fielded-panelled
door on extreme right hand side. Two gabled dormers in roof of old tiles.
Building is newly painted and in good repair.

All the listed buildings on the north side, from Nos 17 to 37,
form a group.
