Farmhouse. C17 and possibly earlier, part cased early C18, extended mid C19.
Timber frame, plastered with red brick end wall and additions. Steeply
pitched black glazed pantiled roof with slate to rear. 3 cell lobby entry
plan with 1 bay added to right. 2 storeys and attic. Entrance now roughly
central, a half glazed door in a C19 open gabled porch with bargeboards, C20
3-light casements. Boxed eaves. Two 2-light glazing bar box dormers.
Central axial ridge stack extended in C19, oversailing cap. Left end internal
stack with early C18 brick left end wall, 2 offsets, moulded kneelers to
parapet, coped to rear only. Right end is C19 brick with an extruded stack.
To rear two C19 brick bays flank an earlier and smaller timber framed bay, all
separately gabled, a stack to left with an entrance in outer return, C20
casements with gauged brick flat arched heads to right. Interior not
inspected.
