4 cottages, arranged back to back, gable end to road. Dated to side 1826. Knapped flint, red and vitrified brick rusticated quoins and window architraves. 2 storeys, 2 windows, sashes, cambered arches. Cambered doorway. Double hipped slate roof. Includes flint garden wall.

Malthouse Cottage, Old Barn Close, Post Office, Pelham Cottage, Nos 122, 124 and 126, and Nos 1-4 Malthouse Cottages form a group.
