5/74 Fishers Hill House

II

House, now divided. 1900-1 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Red brick with large hipped
plain tiled roofs and tall stacks, some placed diagonally. Asymmetrical L shaped
plan with courtyard in re-entrant angle. 1 and 2 storeys with attics under hipped
roofed dormers; irregular fenestration of wood mullioned leaded casements.
Salient features include projecting bay windows on left hand range and gabled 2
storey projecting entrance bay with tiled eaves to right. Round arched porch
to paired 8 panel doors. To the south the garden drops one storey and the garden
front has 2 recessed bays, 3 storey angle bay to left end with pergola and steps
to garden.
