6/119 Fourstones Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Early C19 incorporating some earlier fabric. Main block coursed stone
with tooled and margined quoins and dressings, hipped slate roof with twin central
corniced stacks. 2 storeys, 3 windows. 4 semicircular stone steps to central six-
panelled door with oblong fanlight. 16-pane sash windows with slightly projecting
sills. Rear wing to left has 3 original sashes to first floor on south; block
attached to north side of wing is part of earlier house, rubble with dressed
quoins, later windows, later outshuts on north.
