Large headstone to John Blenkinsopp died 1822. Sandstone. Reeded border.
Semicircular top has sunk panel containing relief shield with Blenkinsopp
crest surmounted by bent arm grasping sword. Large shield below revealed by
drawn-back carved drapery bearing motto: PERSEVERANCE. Shield inscribed to
John Blenkinsopp, his brother Thomas and their sister Elizabeth. Shield
flanked at base by reliefs of stacked books crowned by lamps with flames.
