14/213 Blackett Bridge over
the River West Allen

II

Bridge, dated 1857. Stone with dressings. An inclined bridge with 3
elliptical arches increasing in height westwards. Rock-faced abutments
and piers with triangular cutwaters. Band below parapets which terminate in
low square piers. Rock-faced and margined parapet coping and dressings.
Panel on internal face of north parapet, with inscription in moulded surround:
