GV II

Row of 3 cottages, late C18 with C20 alterations and additions to rear. Coursed
limestone rubble. Steeply pitched thatched roofs. Renewed brick ridge and end
stacks. Single-unit plan each. No.5 of single storey and No.3 and No.4 of single
storey plus attic. Each cottaqe has a plank door in wood frame with wood lintel.
No.5 has a 2-light wood casement and a round window and no attic windows. No.4
has 3 two-light casements and a round window on the ground floor and 2 eyebrow
dormers. No.3 has three 2-light casements on the ground floor and a single
eyebrow dormer. Entrance is contained in a thatched brick extension on right
gable. Most casements in the row have lead cames and wrought-iron casement
fasteners. Interiors have beams and C18/C19 fireplaces.
