GV II

Cottage row. C17, earlier C17 to left; remodelled to left in early C18;
refronted and altered in early C19. Timber-framed with brick infill to rear: of
2 panels deep and set on limestone rubble plinth. Early C19 chequer brick right
gable wall; early C19 render to front, except early C18 coursed limestone rubble
to 4 bays on left. Gabled thatch reef; brick end and ridge stacks, rebuilt early
C19 except C17 ridge stack to left. Plan form unclear. One storey and attic;
11-window range. Early C18 four-bay range to left has brick segmental arches
over plank door, two C19 two-light casements, blocked window to left; C20 dormer
casement and two C19 two-light half-dormer casements. Rest of front has 3 plank
doors, C20 casements and 2 similar C19 casements; C19 two-light half-dormer
casements. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
