House, facing north. C17 with later additions. Brick with black unglazed
pantile roof. Single range, lobby entrance, 4 bays. Two storeys and attic.
Single storey lean-to at each gable end. Off-centre axial stack between
first and second bays. Doorway obscured by C19 lean-to of dairy in brick
and pantiles. Later doorway in 3rd bay with adjacent single storey
extension. Casement windows in bays 2 and 4 to ground floor, 3 and 4 to
first floor. Horizontal sliding sash to ground floor first bay. Rear: dentil
cornice; doors of vertical boards to east bay and to adjacent lean-to.
Internal late chimney stack to bay 3; casement windows with pintle hinges.
Attic window to east gable. West gable has tumbled brick work; internal
stack rebuilt. Interior: roof has collars and staggered purlins; staircase
behind stack; chamfered beams with jewel stops and incised V; C18 panelling,
said to be from Blickling Hall, to 2nd bay ground floor.
