C16 timber-frame with close studding. Black glazed pantile roof with gabled
ends. Two storeys. First floor jettied. South end modern timber frame
wing to match. Original part 4 windows. Four-light modern casements in
positions of original windows. Central arched doorway, original, the door
is modern. Similar arched doorway (blocked) at rear opposite. Rebuilt brick
chimney stack on north end.
Interior: ground floor one large room with central post supporting 2 longitudinal
beams morticed together over the post. First floor with arched roof, originally
also probably one room. Original purpose not known. Once known as the Poor
House.
