Jasmine Cottage

Tenemented C18 cottage with later additions. Red brick with black and red pantiles,
and slates. Two-storeys with lean-to at rear. Original 3-bay cottage in the centre
with full-height pilasters, sash windows with flat gauged brick arches. Central door
with semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars and 4-panel door. Axial chimneystacks
indicate the position of original gables. House extended to the right for 2 bays with
pilasters, sash windows with glazing bars and end doorway with semi-circular gauged
brick arches. Single bay extension to the right with matching pilasters, sash windows,
flat gauged brick arches and slate roof. Eaves soffit with triangular relief pattern.
Niches to either side of parlour fireplace, and shutters to windows. Softwood,
trenched purlin, double frame roof. Dwarf wall with cast-iron railings on road
elevation.
