House(?)now public house.Late C15,C16 with later alterations. Timber-framed
mostly rendered but with some exposed framing, knapped flint on east front;
pantiled roof, 4 brick ridge chimneys. 2 storeys. 7 first-floor windows to
facade at right angles to Heigham Street. Centre range has C20 ribbed and
studded door under C16 arch with moulded spandrels. Wooden mullioned (and
transomed) windows include 2 C16 examples on first floor. 2-window range to
left has C20 lean-to verandah with pantiled roof. Gable-fronted wing to
right has first-floor jetty and exposed studding in gable. Interior:_
Centre range has C16 corridor to first floor, a very early example.
Gable fronted wing has Queen post roof.
