House. Mid C19. Yellow brick with rendered details; hipped slate roof;
3 yellow brick chimneys. L-plan. 2 storeys; irregular facade on south and
west sides with a mitred corner and canted bays to the west. Half-glazed
double-leaf door is flanked by 2 fluted pilasters and 2 fluted Doric
columns supporting a dentilled hood with plain entablature. Windows to
west have sashes with glazing bars in lugged architraves; those in the
later south wing have flat gauged brick arches. Moulded box cornice.
Single-storey late C19. extension to left of the west front has plain
panelled brick parapet at the rear of the range forming part of the
Old Stable Yard (q.v.)
