Calthorpe Cottages. (formerly listed as Range of 4 cottages north of Elmtree House)

Range of four cottages. C18 remodelling of earlier house. Rough cast render
on brickwork and timber framing. Steeply pitched pantile roof with gable ends.
Two storeys and attic. Range of eight windows irregularly spaced : C20 two
and three light casements in existing openings. Four C20 entrance doors. Two
symmetrically placed axial stacks, now rebuilt. Full length lean-to at rear.
Remains of C16 and C17 carpentry including bridging beams with stepped run-
out chamfers.
