Mainly late C15 rubble with a timber frame and plaster super structure,
probably early C16. 2 storeys; stone dressings to sides; 2 moulded wood
mullioned and transomed eight-light windows above. The lower storey is
somewhat mutilated but retains an original small splayed light. One late
C18 moulded wood doorcase with 6-fielded-panelled door; C16 stack with
diagonal brick shafts at rear. The east wall contains two arches of circa
1300, probably of an earlier monastic building. Formerly known as The
Old Gaol.
